Call for participants: testing handover methods for use in semi-automated vehicles

A project within the University’s Human Factors Engineering research group is currently working in connection with Jaguar Land Rover to explore what verbal structure is best to use when handing over control from automation to a driver.

The group is looking for participants to drive in the driving simulator and hand over control to another participant whilst driving on a simulated motorway. The study aims to inform design decisions regarding the interactions and interfaces of automated vehicles.

Participants must possess a full UK driving licence.

The experiment should take approximately 2 hours to complete and participants will be paid £10 for their time upon completion of the study.

If you are interested in taking part, please email Jediah Clark to arrange a timeslot.

Applications to take part in the study will close August 2017.
