A message from Vice-President (Education): Banner Self Service

Dear students,

Yesterday saw the release of marks and award classifications for Finalist students via Banner Self Service. Due to an issue, it would appear that some continuing students were also, erroneously, able to see their marks within the system.

If you are a continuing student who has been affected by this issue, please disregard any marks which you may have seen – marks for continuing students are not complete and have not yet been ratified by Examination Boards. Final ratified marks for continuing students will be released on Thursday 29 June 2017.

Professor Alex Neill, Vice-President (Education)

The University would like to sincerely apologise for this error and for any inconvenience and/or concern this may have caused.  Please be assured that we are thoroughly investigating this issue.

Students should be aware that Banner Self Service is now available to use, but with the following limitations:

  • Students are unable to see any pages which hold marks: Student View pages, Assessment, Marks and Classification and the Refer/Compensation page.

The University would like to thank students for their continued patience whilst full functionality is being restored.

If you have any concerns or queries, please contact your personal tutor, your Faculty Student Office or email: [email protected], who will be able to provide you with support.

Kind regards,

Professor Alex Neill
Vice-President (Education)
