Doctoral researchers are invited to attend a one-day workshop at Winchester School of Art (WSA).
Designed to help doctoral researchers with their PhD, the workshop will encourage individuals to shake any potential feelings of imposter syndrome, academic guilt and isolation, to develop a sharper and more focussed mind in relation to their research. The workshop will also help to renew their sense of motivation.
Led by Teacher, Economist and Broadcast Journalist Della Duncan, the workshop will run on 18 and 19 July (repeated), with places now available to book online.
Aline Giordano, Doctoral College Manager, commented:
The Doctoral College is giving doctoral researchers an exclusive opportunity to unwind in a productive way as the summer kicks in. Before you take a break, make some space for yourself to renew with your sense of motivation, find that clearer, sharper and more focussed mind of yours to give your research a well-deserved boost.
The workshop will give you a chance to let loose, laugh and reconnect with your PhD.
The all-day event will include pair and small group activities on communication, collegiality and personal development, and there will also be an optional morning meditation session.
Facilitator Della Duncan has extensive experience facilitating self-care, leadership, and personal development workshops for university students at places like Stanford, Santa Clara University, and most recently the University of California Berkeley.
