The University will be upgrading the Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment during the weekend of 1 and 2 July, with 3 July reserved as a contingency day.
During the upgrade, staff, students and academics will be unable to log in to Blackboard and access their resources.
The work will involve:
- an upgrade to the Blackboard application
- upgrades to supporting back end technologies
- a significant increase to the Blackboard service’s storage capacity
If you’re concerned that you’ll be affected by the downtime, you can download materials in advance to use during the upgrade weekend.
