Announcement from Chief Operating Officer Ian Dunn – HR staff changes

Following  the recent announcement of the departure of Janice Donaldson, we have been reviewing the leadership of our People and Strategy functions and I am today announcing a number of interim appointments. For practical reasons, these appointments will be with immediate effect and Janice will handover during the coming week to ensure on-going smooth operations.

Anne-Marie Ciarleglio will assume the role of Executive Director of Human Resources, leading the overall HR function across the University, and will attend University Executive Board.

Sarah Hollowbread, in addition to her role as Director of HR Service Delivery, will assume responsibility for the Industrial Relations strategy and will lead on Union and Employee Relations. Sarah will retain her leadership role of the HR operations team and will additionally take responsibility for the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion team.

Andy Cast will become the Interim Director of Business Partnering and will lead the existing Business Partnership model already in place. He will support the people-related changes required as part of strategy implementation. Andy will report directly to Anne-Marie in this capacity.

Helen Everest will assume the role of Interim Head of Strategy Implementation with a focus on strategy delivery, providing required support for strategy related work-streams and governance boards. Helen will assume responsibility for the Strategy team, as well as her existing programme team and will report directly to me.
