The Society for Latin American Studies (SLAS) will hold its annual conference at Winchester Campus on 22-23 March 2018.
The theme of the conference is ‘Latin American Studies Around the World’ and the organising committee is based in the Politics and International Relations Department at the University.
The SLAS is one of the leading Latin American studies organisations in the world and attracts several hundred scholars and students to their annual conferences.
It will be the first time that the SLAS holds one of its high profile professional meetings at the University. The event will offer a unique opportunity for Southampton to showcase its strengths in Latin American Studies, as well as encourage collaborations with colleagues in line with our internationalisation goals.
The deadline for submissions of panel and paper proposals is 16 July 2017. Submission requirements and further information about the agenda, keynote speaker and venue are on the conference website.
