Dr Borthwick, Associate Professor within the Faculty of Health Sciences, has assumed the role of Vice President of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists/College of Podiatry, where he is already a serving member of the executive Council. Alan has taken up the position alongside his role at the University.
The Society aims to raise the profile of podiatry so that it is recognised by the public, fellow healthcare professionals, policy-makers and commissioners of healthcare as being synonymous with foot health as well as to lead the development of an international model for podiatric practice.
