The team representing the University will be featured on BBC2’s University Challenge tonight, Monday 31 July at 20:00.
130 universities applied to take part in this season’s competition and Southampton succeeded in a tough audition process to make the final 28. The first round match will be against Cardiff.
The team is:
- Lorna Frankel – Natural Sciences
- Niall Jones – English
- Andy Knighton – Medicine
- Paulo Ledesma – Medicine
- Reserve: Steve Barnes – PhD Chemical Education
