Russell Group Universities have jointly requested greater clarity from the UK government regarding Brexit.
Colin Grant, Vice-President (International) said:
“As Chair of the Russell Group International Forum and a multiple beneficiary of international exchange opportunities, as undergraduate, PhD student, postdoc and professor, I welcome this statement. Our greatest asset as a country, as a system and as a University is our openness to the world.
The diversity of our staff and student community is a source of great pride. To compete, to create jobs and to build resilience in today’s world we need to be deeply innovative, but also deeply collaborative with the finest minds in the world. The sharper focus on the realities of ‘Brexit’ is a welcome development and the need for clarity remains compelling.”
