This exciting event took place on Wednesday 19 July in London and focused on Sustainable Cities.
Following the success of the University’s first public lecture series in 2016, which demonstrated how our world-leading research impacts on medical policy and practice, our 2017 series focuses on environment and sustainability issues, illustrating our influence in the sector.
These lectures will explore a range of critical issues affecting our planet such as food security, climate and clean energy. They will debate the intricacies of these topics with leading experts and demonstrate how the University of Southampton is instrumental in shaping opinions and processes to ensure a sustainable future.
In this session, our experts explore and discuss the challenges, trade-offs and innovative approaches we are using to make urban systems more environmentally sustainable.
