This month we will be celebrating the University’s impact in the field of health and healthcare as part of a new approach to how we showcase our research areas of excellence.
Each month will see a different focus on an area of our work, in research, education or enterprise, which is enhancing our reputation as a world-leading research centre and where students can enjoy the very best learning experience.
During September we will be specifically highlighting how our pioneering work in cancer immunology is changing the way the disease is treated.
Through a series of features we will be revealing how our pioneering approach in developing cancer immunotherapies has inspired generations of academics, explaining how our latest research is transforming medicine and also telling the stories of those whose lives have been changed by our work.
As part of our coverage we will be looking ahead to the completion of the construction phase of our dedicated £25m Centre for Cancer Immunology, marking the start of a new chapter in the story of immunotherapy development here at Southampton.
In October we will be turning the spotlight on to our discoveries in the field of sustainable energy before we will be exploring how we have shaped understanding around Artificial Intelligence throughout November.
