The University is looking for confident, enthusiastic and dedicated students to join its Student Fundraising Team for the 2017-18 academic year telephone appeals.
As a Student Fundraiser, you’ll help to engage our alumni with the many ways they can stay involved. These include opportunities such as attending events, volunteering or donating to support various University-wide projects, including the new Centre for Cancer Immunology.
Being a Student Fundraiser is an excellent way to make a difference here at Southampton, helping current and future students to have the best experience possible – whilst also helping to fundraise for some of the University’s most exciting and ground-breaking research.
As a Student Fundraiser, you’ll work on Highfield campus in the evenings for at least nine hours per week, earning £8.21 p/h. In the process, you’ll develop excellent communication and negotiation skills that will be of great benefit to your future career.
The deadline for applications is Monday 2 October 2017.
Here’s what some of our students had to say about being a Student Fundraiser last year:
- “I enjoyed being part of a project that is fundraising for such an important cause as well as becoming more confident in myself.”
- “As well as getting to know more about the University, fundraising for amazing projects and building my confidence, I loved the social side – it’s a very fun team.”
- “What I enjoyed was speaking to alumni about their University experience, their career since graduating and seeing their genuine desire to give back to the University.”
- “It’s just like joining a society – but you get paid!”
