Web Science Institute Distinguished Lecture: lawyer and philosopher, Mireille Hildebrandt

The Web Science Institute is holding a Distinguished Lecture with the lawyer and philosopher, Mireille Hildebrandt on Monday 9 October from 16:00 – 17:00 in Building 53, Room 4025, Highfield Campus. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception in Room 3028. Staff and students can book their ticket here.

The talk entitled Interpretation and Prediction: MT in ML is about Machine Learning which is a branch of Artificial Intelligence. Further information can be found here.

Mireille Hildebrandt is a lawyer and a philosopher. She is a tenured Research Professor of ‘Interfacing Law and Technology’, appointed by the Research Council of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the Faculty of Law and Criminology. She is also a part-time full Professor of ‘Smart Environments, Data Protection and the Rule of Law’ at the Science Faculty of Radboud University in the Netherlands, teaching ‘Law in Cyberspace’ to master students of computer science.
