It’s been a year of firsts at halls: first there was the new Accommodation Open Day, then came the green initiative Recycling Action Week (which has helped to change attitudes towards waste and recycling within the student community). Now, the Residences team is kicking off the new academic year with its exciting and newest event to date, the Halls Roadshow.
Dreamt up by the Residences team, the Halls Roadshow will bring fun, games and key information for each hall site. The team is hoping that the event will feel like a student-village fête.
Working with several departments across the University and within the local community, the Roadshow will be a fantastic way to help you get involved in enterprise and green initiatives. It will also give you information to help you succeed in an independent living environment.
The Residences team is putting a big focus on student wellbeing and health with the relaunch of the Student Life team, which plays a big part in raising awareness in halls.
The Halls Roadshows will provide essential information on how to access support if students are experiencing difficulties during their time at University.
Running from Tuesday 3 – Friday 6 October between 16:00 – 19:00, all students living in halls are welcome to take part in the festivities.
