Southampton premiere of award-winning film CATCH marks World Antibiotic Awareness Week

The first screening of CATCH, a film showing a future where antibiotics have failed due to an ever-increasing resistance, will take place at the University on 14 November 2017 followed by a talk from Professor Michael Moore.

The screening will be in Lecture theatre Room 2003, Building 46 (Physics), between 19:00-20:00.

CATCH

Created with the help and backing of leading scientists in the field, CATCH takes a global health crisis happening now and brings the issue home.

It portrays a terrifying scenario that is closer than many of us think. The talk from Professor Michael Moore will delve deeper into antibiotic resistance. He will also host a short question and answer session.

The film was written and directed by science television Directors Paul Cooke and Dominic Rees-Roberts. Both are recent winners of The Wellcome Trust’s Emerging Talent Programme for scientific communicators.
