National Inter Faith Week 13 – 19 November

The University’s Faith and Reflection Centre is pleased to be working with a number of groups in Southampton to host Inter Faith Week events across our campuses and throughout the city for students, staff and the wider community.

This is part of a UK-wide designated week focussing on interfaith understanding, cooperation and the celebration of our diversity.

The upcoming events offer something for everyone, including: the chance to hear from key speakers and hold discussions with them; information about interfaith services and organisations who are helping refugees and asylum seekers. There will also be the chance to explore our beliefs through art; and an opportunity to take part in the annual Peace Walk, which stops at places of worship such as the Abu Bakr Mosque.

Throughout the week, the Faith and Reflection Centre is open as usual (House 41, University Road), offering you a space where you can be quiet for a moment and take time to reflect in the midst of a busy academic/working life. In addition, if you’re finding life challenging and need a listening ear, there’s always the opportunity to talk with one of the Chaplains or Faith Advisors.

The Faith and Reflection Centre’s regular events and activities continue to run during term time weeks, including: Pasta Night, Quaker Worship, Catholic Prayer & Formation, Soup & Bread Lunch, Guided Mediation, English Conversation & Tea and Sunday Mass.
