Have an idea that could benefit from £1,000 funding?

Here at the University, we believe that your education should be about more than just your subject of study. As a student, you could have an amazing idea for a life-enhancing project which you’d love to carry out, if only you had the opportunity.

Opportunities can be harder to come by for certain groups of students*. With this in mind, the University created the Aspire Awards.

Offering up to 10 awards of £1,000 each, projects will be judged according to how well they fulfil one or more of the following aims:

  • Broaden your educational development
  • Enhance your cultural development
  • Complement or enhance your course of study
  • Have a positive impact on society

The Aspire Awards Team is holding drop-in events where you can come and learn more about the initiative. Come along to learn more on one of the following dates:

  • Monday 20 November, 10:00 – 12:00 in the concourse of Hartley Library (just past the barriers), Highfield Campus
  • Monday 27 November, 10:00 – 12:00 in the East Side Café at Winchester School of Art
