Disability History Month runs from 22 November – 22 December. During this month, organisations hold events to promote disability equality and raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities.
Did you know that, since 1992, each year on the 3 December the United Nations observes the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’? The aim of this day is to empower society to “strive for inclusivity through the removal of physical, technological and attitudinal barriers for people with disability” in all aspect of life, including education.
