University researchers and colleagues in Professional Services are invited to become members of Public Policy|Southampton.
Public Policy|Southampton acts as a hub for public policy engagement across the University. It supports university researchers in delivering public policy impact through grant funded research, and provides strategic engagement with key policy partners at a local, regional, national and international level.
Researchers from across the University already have significant engagements with policy-making bodies, others will be looking to build links. Members of Public Policy|Southampton can learn from, and work with each other, as well as accessing support and advice from the core team.
Interested colleagues should register online for free here.
Benefits of membership will include:
- Support with the preparation of impact statements in grants, the development of policy impact plans, and mapping out policy stakeholders
- Support with policy impact activities (after successful grants)
- Access to networks of contacts in national and local Government, UK Parliament and beyond
- Engagement with University colleagues with experience of working with policymakers
- A bi-monthly drop-in meeting highlighting new policy priorities and opportunities from Government
