What you need to know about the Graduate Outcomes survey

Graduate Outcomes is a nationwide survey of all graduates from higher education institutions. It collects information on what graduates are doing 15 months after leaving university – whether that is employment, further study, travel or something else.

The survey, previously known as the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey, will contribute to important statistics on the current state of the economy, and provides insight into the graduate labour market.

Why is it important?

  • The information you provide helps us to give tailored careers advice to our students and alumni about the career paths available to them
  • It helps policy makers at the University and in government understand the employment market, and make important decisions about course content and funding
  • The results contribute to Unistats and university league tables, which are published throughout the year, such as the Guardian University Guide
  • It enables us to share the successes of our students

How do I get involved?

If you’re graduating this academic year, please make sure you leave up-to-date contact details with the University. Visit Banner, via Sussed, to check that we have your latest information.

You’ll be contacted 15 months after graduation to take part in the survey. The survey will ask you a few questions about what you’re currently doing, for example work, travel or further study. The survey itself only takes a few minutes to complete.
