The Careers and Employability team are pleased to announce that our collaboration with local companies has led to being shortlisted for two National Undergraduate Employability (NUE) Awards.
Held annually, these awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of all those involved in undergraduate work experience, with UK students, employers and universities competing for recognition. This year saw over 500 nominations across 17 awards.
The two finalists have been nominated across the following categories:
Best Collaboration between a University and Employer
University of Southampton and Roke Manor Research, a world-class electronics engineering consultancy. This NUE award nomination is for a collaboration between the Careers and Employability Service and Roke in a partnership to develop high quality work experience opportunities for students; increasing employability prospects and optimising Roke’s graduate recruitment.
Best Small to Medium-Sized Employer
Tekever, based at Southampton Science Park has engaged with the University for a long time, from hosting student interns through the Excel Southampton Internship Programme, as well as delivering talks and employing graduates.
Updates will be posted on SUSSED after the awards ceremony on Friday 23 February 2018. Congratulations to our finalists and best of luck!
