Were any of your ancestors in the First World War?

A special exhibition about the First World War entitled ‘My ancestor, their story’ will go on show in the Level 4 Gallery, Hartley Library in October 2018.

Wartime diaries of the Reverend Michael Adler (1868-1944), Jewish chaplain to the British Expeditionary Force in France during World War I in Special Collections, Hartley Library.

If any University staff with ancestors who experienced the First World War, either on the home front or in the military, have material that they would like to share for this exhibition, then Special Collections would love to hear from you.

The exhibition will be a photographic one, featuring images of material, together with biographical details and information about the individuals featured.
