#WearingWhite on 1 February to mark World Cancer Day

The Centre for Cancer Immunology has almost reached its £25m fundraising target, so celebrate this success with us by wearing white tomorrow, Thursday 1 February for World Cancer Day.

It’s an opportunity to mark this incredible fundraising achievement and to raise awareness about our life-saving Centre, reaching new audiences near and far.

Once you are all dressed up in white, please share photos of yourselves on social media using #WearingWhite. The best picture will win an exclusive pair of drumsticks signed by Coldplay drummer and campaign donor Will Champion (see here for details).

We’d like as many of you as possible to come along to our group photoshoot in Building 37, Highfield Campus (in the atrium) at 12.15 so we can collectively show our support for our life-saving Centre by #WearingWhite for World Cancer Day.

We’ve invited the Echo along too for the occasion. If you can’t make the photoshoot, why not organise your own group photo or event take a selfie to share on social media using #WearingWhite.

We’re running a special Snapchat filter from 08:00 – 18:00 on 1 February across both Highfield Campus and University Hospital Southampton.

Make sure to take your photos within the app and swipe right to use the filter – it’s perfect in case you’ve forgotten to wear something white, or to add to your outfit on the day.

You can see a preview of the filter below. We’d love for you to send us your snaps on the day, so make sure to message them to UniSouthampton within Snapchat, and why not add us while you’re there?
