Participants required: exercise programme to improve asthma

Participants are being sought to take part in a study looking at whether a specific, tailored exercise programme reduces symptoms and inflammation of the airways of people with asthma.

Participants need to be aged between 18 and 50 years old, and must not currently undertake regular exercise. An initial screening visit will determine a diagnosis of asthma by performing lung function tests.

The study will consist of nine visits to the Clinical Research Facility at University Hospital Southampton, as well as three exercise sessions per week during the exercise programme.

Successful participants will be reimbursed for parking expenses.
