International Summer School and scholarship opportunities

Fancy spending the summer travelling while boosting your employability and adding to your CV? Our International Summer Schools could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Offering short programmes ranging from four to eight weeks in length and covering a wide range of subjects and specialisms, you can access a full list of opportunities here.

Any successful student attending a Summer School will be eligible for the Next Generation Global Leaders Scholarship (£500).

  • Chinese University of Hong Kong’s (CUHK) Summer Undergraduate Research Programme (SURP)
    The University is waiving all tuition fees for this programme. Full details of the programme can be found here: http://www.summer.cuhk.edu.hk/surp_project/ Students are encouraged to apply for more than one research project. If you wish to be nominated, please email: [email protected]
  • New for 2018 UFMG (Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais) Summer Brazilian Studies
    This programme covers a wide range of lecture topics from politics to geography, history and Brazilian economy and law and culture. The programme will run from 16 – 27 July 2018. For further details please email: [email protected].

Scholarship opportunity

If you’re specifically looking to study in China, the Chinese Government Scholarship scheme is now open to applicants.

Awarded by the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, the scheme is open to students of all HE levels to undertake university studies and/or Chinese language courses in China.

Established by the Chinese Ministry of Education, each scholarship covers tuition, comprehensive medical insurance, accommodation and an annual allowance.

The deadline for applications is the 1 March 2018.
