A reminder of financial support available to students

There are a number of ways the University is here to support students who may be experiencing financial issues.

The Student Support Fund is provided by the University to enable those students who may find themselves in financial difficulty, to access funding to facilitate their progression.

This academic year, the University has already awarded over £270,000 to students out of the £500,000 fund.

An archaeology student who benefited from the fund said:

“The award enabled me to decrease my hours at work, moving down to the recommended 10 hours per week, which was invaluable for my grades. I was able to pay my rent and without the support from the fund I would have been in an unimaginable situation.”

Students will need to make an appointment with an advisor prior to receiving an application to the fund.

To make an appointment, please phone the Student Services Centre on Tel: +44 (0)23 8059 9599. You will be asked a series of questions to identify the type of appointment you’ll require.

You can find out more about the Student Support Fund and how to apply here.
