UCU has announced this afternoon that their Higher Education Committee and the majority of their branch Presidents have rejected the alternative proposal for USS pension reforms which had been agreed yesterday between UCU and Universities UK (UUK) negotiators, following the recent talks mediated by ACAS.
UCU have refused to call off industrial action which will now continue as planned this week on Wednesday 14, Thursday 15 and Friday 16 March.
