The University and Students’ Union team up for student campaign

Run last year by the University of Southampton Students’ Union as part of its Sexual Consent Awareness Week, Expect Respect focuses on encouraging students to speak up and raise awareness about sexual assault and harassment, and the promotion of a zero tolerance approach to sexual violence in all forms.

In partnership with the Students’ Union, our University has launched a website providing students with support and advice.

The site contains information about what sexual violence is, as well as details about the support available both from within and outside of the University for those affected.

Additionally, the Students’ Union has created a harassment reporting tool, which can be accessed here.

This tool enables you to report any type of harassment (anonymously, if you would prefer to), and provides access to support.

If you feel you need to speak to somebody in person about any of the issues mentioned in this post, you can visit Enabling Services during one of its drop in sessions. Sessions are held in Building 37,  Monday Friday 13:00 15:00 during term and Monday, Wednesday, Friday 13:00 – 15:00 outside of term time.
