We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new community campaign: #UoSrespect
At Southampton, we believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, and that we should all be able to benefit from a positive, supportive environment whether we’re here for work or study.
Over the coming months, we’ll be promoting news and opportunities detailing how you can get involved with the campaign and how, together as a community, we can truly bring #UoSrespect to life.
One of the four core principles of our University’s strategy is ‘Collegiality’ (defined as ‘one team working, planning and delivering together toward our shared vision’), which we should look to embed in everything we do. Respect plays a key role in delivering this principle, and it’s important that we’re mindful of how we, as individuals, choose to take responsibility for our own actions.
Known as ‘Personal Leadership’, here are some examples of how to exhibit this behaviour in your day-to-day life:
- Reflect on your own behaviour, actively seeking feedback and adapting your behaviour accordingly.
- Show pride, passion and enthusiasm for our University community.
- Demonstrate respect and build trust through an open and honest approach.
