The winners of this year’s Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WiSET) award are Emma Osborne and Rebecca French, who will receive a cash prize and a WiSET Award Trophy. WiSET received a high number of outstanding nominations and congratulate all the nominees.
The WiSET group would like to invite all staff and students to this year’s WiSET Award Ceremony on Wednesday 9 May at 14:00. The awards are being presented as part of the Festival of Doctoral Research 2018.
Following the ceremony, everyone will have an opportunity to network with WiSET and several of our other University diversity network groups over a wine reception with nibbles.
The 2018 WiSET Awards recognise and reward exceptional contributions of individuals across the University who have worked to raise the profile and participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM), and made an outstanding contribution to supporting women in academia above and beyond the requirements of their formal role.
The award ceremony will start at 14:00 on Wednesday 9 May in Lecture Theatre B, in the Physics Building (46/2003), Highfield Campus. Guests will then be invited into the foyer space outside the lecture theatre to enjoy some food and drink, whilst having a chance to mingle.
More information about the nominees and the programme of events can be found here.
