A TV appearance and continued success for Future Worlds startup

Future Worlds, one of our University’s startup platform and business incubators, is celebrating a number of recent successes including a television appearance for one of its associated ventures.

Aura Vision Labs, a student startup that took part in last year’s Future Worlds Dragons’ Den-style pitching event, appeared on the BBC’s flagship technology programme ‘BBC Click’. If you are a TV Licence holder, you can watch the episode for a limited time here. Part of the episode was filmed on our Highfield Campus, and includes footage from the Students’ Union (Building 42).

After exhibiting at the Consumer Electronics Show in January this year, Aura Vision Labs took investment of £100,000 and was valued at £1m. Since then, it has been mentioned by Forbes and signed trials with a major high street store.

The 2018 Future Worlds Dragons’ Den-style pitching event takes place on Saturday 12 May.
