Each year, universities around the country collect information from their graduates about what they’re doing; whether that’s employment, further study, travel or job seeking.
From this year, Graduate Outcomes will replace the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey.
This survey is sent out to graduates 15 months after the completion of their course and the results are made publicly available as a measure of employability, affecting our league table performance.
How can I help?
Please raise awareness of the survey and encourage all final year students to update their contact details on Banner before they graduate, so that they don’t miss out on receiving the survey.
The information provided by our graduates will provide us with an understanding of the employment market, help us to shape the careers support that we offer, and enable us to shout about our students’ successes.
Students are also able to notify us of changes to their contact details after they leave, by updating them online.
The Careers and Employability Service have a range of materials available for use around campus – please get in touch to find out more: [email protected].
How is Graduate Outcomes different to DLHE?
• Graduates will be asked to complete the survey 15 months after they have left university, as opposed to 6 months.
• The survey will be owned by Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), and the University will no longer administer the survey internally.
• There will be four survey periods a year: March, June, September and December.
