Following a comprehensive tender process the University has appointed Apogee, Europe’s largest independent provider of managed print services, as the University’s new print partner.
The roll-out of the new technology will begin in late June 2018 and will be concluded by the end of the summer 2018.
Initially you will see the installation of the new multifunctional devices (MFDs) around our buildings, followed shortly by the removal of most of our existing printing, scanning, photocopying and, in some cases, fax devices.
On-site training and technical support will be provided to ensure that you can get the very best from our new technology and to minimise any disruption to your day-to-day activities during the transition period.
What you can expect from the new Apogee technology:
- enhanced multiple functionality across all our campuses
- improved reliability
- high performance: reduced warm-up times and increased print speed
- intuitive, user-friendly devices
The new printers will continue to provide:
- mobility – print from any fixed desktop PC, laptop or mobile device
- confidentiality and security by logging in
- the ability to collect your printing from anywhere at a time that it suits you
- colour printing, copying and scanning, available where required
Further information regarding the roll-out of the new printers will be available shortly.
