A big welcome from the Student Communications Team to all of our Pre-sessional students – we hope you enjoy your time with us 🙂
We have put together a helpful guide with everything you need to know to help you make the most of your first few weeks.
What to do when you arrive
Attend an induction
Attending an induction is important as it will provide important information about your Pre-sessional course. This will help you to settle in and prepare for your studies. It is also a great opportunity to meet other students.
Induction will take place on:
- Course A – Thursday 28 June or Friday 29 June 2018
- Course B – Thursday 26 July or Friday 27 July 2018
You’ll be given your induction schedule and placed in your induction group when you arrive at your Halls of Residence.
If you’re staying in private rented accommodation, your schedule will be emailed to you a few days before induction.
Open a bank account
You will need a UK bank account to set up a Direct Debit so that you can pay your university fees. Find out more on our Welcome webpages.
Remember not to take large amounts of cash with you while you’re out travelling. Try to deposit your money into a bank account as early as you can.
