Admissions review and office moves

In February, the University Executive Board agreed to consolidate our Admissions team and move the line management of Recruitment, Events and Conversion* staff to our Student Recruitment and International Relations department.

The scale of a single team will mean that we can improve the management of the peaks and troughs in the admissions cycle, which will help to improve our effectiveness.

The majority of admissions colleagues currently based in faculties will be co-located on the 4th floor of Building 37, with the move taking place over two dates, Saturday 29/09/18 and Saturday 20/10/18.

As a result, Research and Innovation Services staff will move out of Building 37 and into Building 28 mid-August 2018.

There are a small number of other office changes taking place over the next few weeks. You can find a list, and the intended move dates, below:

  • The Student and Academic Administration STARs programme team have already moved into Building 37 (room 4069).
  • Friday 27 July 2018 – remaining Business, Law and Art colleagues currently in Building 28 move to their new faculties in Buildings 4, 32, 58, 65 and 65a.
  • Friday 24 Aug 2018 – Southern University Network (SUN) team move across the 4th floor of Building 37 to room 4079.
  • Wednesday 10 Oct 2018 – Student Systems Team move from 39 University Road into Building 37, room 2035.
  • Wednesday 17 Oct 2018 – Some Recruitment, Events and Conversion staff move into 39 University Road. For enquiries about this team please contact Nick Hull for Admissions and Richard Kennett for Events & Conversion.

If you have any questions, you can contact the individual teams directly.

*Recruitment, Events and Conversion will be a new team who will manage the events and conversion activities supporting student recruitment, such as Open Days and Applicant Visit Days.
