Over the next two months, colleagues from the Academic Centre for International Students (ACIS) will deliver Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes Programmes to approximately 1,600 international students.
These programmes aim to develop students’ academic communication skills and prepare them for postgraduate/undergraduate study at the University.
Nick Barratt, Senior Teaching Fellow, Director of Pre-sessional Programmes says:
I would like to thank all of those University services who have helped us prepare for this year’s programmes. This includes the invaluable support provided by Student and Academic Administration, Student Services, iSolutions and Human Resources.
I would also like to thank the hard work carried out during this period by catering services, as well as the Student Office and Faculty Operating Service teams here in Humanities for their ongoing and invaluable contributions. Finally, I would like to thank any academic colleagues who have volunteered to give guest lectures during July and August.
I am sure the whole University will want to join us in welcoming students to Southampton and wishing them well as they study through the summer.
