As the countdown starts to A Level Results Day (Thursday 16 August), colleagues from across the University are gearing up towards a very busy period.
Colleagues involved in the Admissions process were invited to a series of briefings last week, to ensure that they are familiar with the details of this year’s Clearing process
Externally, the University’s Clearing marketing campaign is approaching its peak period of activity with national digital advertising as well as targeted outdoor adverts across Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Bristol, Exeter and Birmingham.
Clearing can be a stressful time for students, so our marketing campaign focuses on three current students who came to our University through Clearing and found it a positive and supported experience.

Our list of courses
The list of courses available to prospective students in this year’s Clearing and Adjustment period has been available online for the past few weeks. We are offering a limited number of places for talented and well-qualified candidates across a number of subject areas.
What happens if a prospective student calls you?
Should a prospective student contact you, please direct them to the University Clearing and Adjustment website where they can find out about relevant opportunities, register for Clearing alerts in the run up to Results Day, or apply online from Thursday 16 August. Alternatively, they can call our Clearing and Adjustment hotline on 0330 058 6940.
We expect a high volume of calls to the hotline over the Clearing and Adjustment period and these will be carefully managed through a queuing system. To provide the best service to our prospective students please ask them to use the hotline number or apply online; don’t attempt to transfer the call internally.
For queries about accommodation
Should a prospective student enquire about accommodation, please direct them to the Student Services accommodation webpages.
Alternatively they can call our Accommodation hotline on 02380 595959.
