Ian Dunn, Chief Operating Officer, has announced the appointment of Kieron Broadhead as our next Executive Director of Student Experience. We look forward to welcoming him to the University on 29 October 2018.
An established leader within higher education, Kieron is currently Director of Student Experience & Academic Registrar at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he is responsible for the institutional strategic leadership of non-academic student provision from the point of enquiry through to graduation.
Kieron commented:
I am extremely excited to be joining the University of Southampton as Executive Director of Student Experience. The University’s strategy is clear and ambitious and I have been struck by the commitment of staff to delivering a truly world class experience for students regardless of their background. This is an area I am passionate about and I am looking forward to contributing to the University’s activities and bringing people together to meet challenges that exist.

Kieron has been instrumental in developing a vibrant end-to-end student experience at Goldsmiths over the last 10 years, during which time his roles have spanned student focus projects, marketing, recruitment, Academic Registrar, widening participation and as Director of Student Experience. Kieron will bring a fresh insight to enhancing our student experience at a time when this aspect of our academic and wider university offering to students is second to none in importance.
