The University’s Human Factors Engineering (HFE) Research group is looking for UK or Commonwealth Nationals to take part in a study examining Remotely Operated Vehicle Piloting in challenging environments. The full study will last approximately 4 hours and participants will be paid £20.00 for their time.
This study is part of a larger project aimed at examining performance of submarine command teams and so will take place in the submarine control room simulator, although the context of the current study is space mining.
Participants will receive full training in the responsibilities of the role and will complete a number of scenarios.
HFE is based at Boldrewood Innovation Campus and is part of the Transportation Research Group (TRG) which is one of the UK’s longest established and leading centres for engineering-related transport teaching and research.
The group is recruiting through September and October. If you are interested in participating please email Kiome Pope at [email protected]
