Free Wi-Fi across the University: Connect to Eduroam

Eduroam is the University’s Wi-Fi network and is available across most of the campus and halls. It’s free to join and once you’re connected, it can be used at other universities who also use this Wi-Fi service.

All University staff and students can connect to the internet and many of the University’s IT services use Eduroam.

Connecting to Eduroam is easy, but please ensure you log in with your University username, for example ‘[email protected]’, along with your password.

iSolutions have provided some auto-configure apps for you to use and get started with on your own device and these can be found here.

There is also a free WiFi service available for visitors. Visitors to the University can connect to the ‘WiFi Guest’ account, which is available across Highfield Campus, Winchester School of Art, Avenue Campus, Southampton General Hospital, Boldrewood Innovation Campus, Wide Lane and halls of residence.

University staff and students should still use the Eduroam service, as it has greater capacity and enables access to all University networked services. The Cloud only enables internet access for guests using our existing wireless infrastructure and its bandwidth is limited.

Stay connected with iSolutions on Facebook and Twitter.
