Tell us what you think about working at the University in complete confidence

The Staff Engagement Survey is your chance to share your anonymous views about your working experience at the University.

Your feedback in the Staff Engagement Survey is anonymous

With one day to go before the survey closes our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Christopher Snowden encourages staff to fill in the survey to help shape the future of the University:

“I want to thank staff who have taken the time to fill in our Staff Engagement Survey. We have one day now before it closes and there’s still time to complete the survey if you haven’t managed to do it so far.

It is extremely important that we hear your views using the survey, and whilst some areas have responded well, others have not yet achieved a representative level, which means that those areas will not have their voice heard properly and have the chance to influence future decisions.

I know some people are concerned about confidentiality and I want to reassure colleagues that filling in the survey is completely anonymous. The survey reports are generated through a tool provided by ORC International, the company managing the survey.  This means that nobody at the University will be able to access any raw data or see individual responses or anybody’s personal details. Thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing the results and reading the comments.”

A report will only be provided where a minimum of 10 individuals have responded. That’s why it’s so important for small teams to participate because if less than 10 members respond, no report will be produced and the line manager will not know what works well and what needs improving in that team.  The leaders can only see to what extent their team as a whole has agreed/not agreed with the statements in the survey.

The Vice-Chancellor and the Executive Director of HR will receive a report of all the comments but anything that identifies staff in those comments (i.e. if someone accidentally puts their name in) will be removed.

The survey has now closed.
