#UoSrespect campaign – national Anti-Bullying Week and announcing our new harassment contacts

As part of national Anti-Bullying Week (12 – 16 November 2018), our #UoSrespect campaign is pleased to announce the growth of the Harassment Contacts team (HCs).

Following a successful recruitment drive over the summer, the University has now trained a significant number of additional HCs, with members located across our UK campuses.

HCs (staff volunteers who work in a range of professions across our University) provide a confidential service to all staff and students who feel they are being bullied or harassed. HCs listen to any issues reported to them by staff and students, and help the respective individuals to assess their options going forward.

If you feel that you are being bullied or harassed and would like to talk to a Harassment Contact in confidence, please visit the Harassment Contacts webpage. This page also provides additional information which you might find helpful, such as our University’s Dignity at Work and Study policy, and information on out-of-hours support.

If you have questions, or would like more information about HCs, please contact the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Team by emailing: [email protected]
