Our University has been included in a pilot phase of the EU Settlement Scheme which allows eligible workers who are working in higher education to apply for settled status (see the government eligibility criteria here).
This pilot phase of the EU Settlement Scheme is open to applications from those working in higher education from Thursday 15 November to Friday 21 December.
Participation in this scheme is entirely voluntary at this stage, however successful applications will not need to submit a new application when the scheme rolls out nationally in March 2019.
You can find further information about the pilot scheme, the University’s reimbursement for the scheme and how to apply on our HR website.
The University will reimburse the cost of applications for settled status (£65) for eligible employees who make an application under this scheme. This provision will be available to all employees who are working for the University on or before 29 March 2019, whether they make an application as part of this pilot phase, or as part of the full EU Settlement Scheme when it is launched.
Full terms and conditions and information on applying for the fee reimbursement can be accessed on our HR pages.
