Your invitation to the OneWeb Festival

Join us on Tuesday 27 November across Highfield and Avenue Campuses to celebrate the launch of OneWeb.

For one day only, and to mark the University’s commitment to OneWeb (our web transformation project), our Digital Team will be hosting the first university-led event of its kind in the sector. Our impressive line-up of speakers will include some of the UK’s stars of content strategy and design, as well as user experience.

The event is free to attend and is open to all students and staff.

The day will be split into a variety of talks, workshops and discussions. This format will allow our community to create connections, engage in dialogue and facilitate further cooperation.

Below are some of the sessions and speakers you’ll have a chance to hear from and get involved with:

  • Padma Gillen – ‘Speaking with one voice: Creating great content in large organisations’
  • Katrina Dixon – ‘User Needs 101’
  • Rob Armstrong-Haworth from Hootsuite, with Jonny Vaughan – ‘Are You Listening? Are You Really Listening?’
  • Lee Duddell, UserZoom, with Chris Lockhart – ‘How organisations can learn about their users in an Agile environment’
  • Mark Wyatt – ‘Agile 101’

For a full list of sessions and speakers, and to book your place, visit the OneWeb page on the Digital Team’s blog.

For those who can’t attend the sessions, the Digital Team will blog about it after the event, and are looking at recording some of the main sessions.
