Students wanted for BBC Radio Solent features

Are you a member of a club or team at our University? Are you part of a student society that has a big upcoming event or celebration?

BBC Radio Solent have recently interviewed a number of University of Southampton students about their extra-curricular activities and would love to speak to even more of you.

Students being interviewed at Radio Solent

In the last couple of weeks, the University’s American Football team have spoken live on air about their upcoming season, the Mexican Society have talked about their Day Of The Dead celebrations and Archaeology students have demonstrated their skills in making tools out of stone and flint.

The presenters are looking to interview more students who are involved in anything a little bit different which tells the story of the diverse activities our students get involved in across Southampton. This is also a fantastic opportunity to shine a light on all of the great things that contribute to the student experience here and to build links with our local community.

If you and your mates want to share your stories on the radio, get in touch with the University’s Press Office on [email protected]!
