Roadworks commenced in mid-November on University Road, Highfield Campus, outside the Jubilee Sports Centre and Building 37. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the works are taking longer than originally planned and should be completed by end of December.
The work taking place is to install ducts under University Road in preparation for new heating pipes to be installed through the ducts in early January.
University Road has been restricted to a single lane, requiring 24 hour traffic light control. We apologise for the ongoing disruption.
The temporary lights have replaced the pedestrian crossing for the duration of the work and some Unilink Bus stops are out of use during this time. View the Unilink timetable here
