Today (10 December 2018), is the 70th Anniversary of the United Nations’ Declaration of Human Rights.
To coincide with this, internet and technology pioneers Dame Wendy Hall, Vint Cerf, and Sir Tim Berners-Lee, along with key visionaries and positive change agents will convene to reflect on the past three decades and pave the path for the future of the internet.
They will look to determine what it means for connected societies and those yet to be connected, and will explore the question ‘is the internet still a force for good?’.
Titled “Our People-Centered Digital Future,” the event recognises that by March 2019, 50% of the world will be connected to the internet.
The event will focus on society, education, environment, technology, and the future of human rights and inclusion, and will be live-streamed here from 15:00 today (10 December).
