University Auditory Implant Service fundraising for ‘Meningitis Now’

The University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) is fundraising for Meningitis Now. Following the sad news that one of their 3-year old patients, Ayesha, had passed away as a result of meningitis, the team decided this would be an appropriate charity to support.

The vision of the charity is that there will be a future in which no-one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need to rebuild their lives.

To be here for everyone affected by meningitis, spread lifesaving awareness about the disease and fund research into it, the charity needs over £3 million every year. Find out more about the charity’s work here.

A sponsored cycle ride from Bristol to Bath has already taken place earlier in 2018 and three brave team members are preparing for a skydive in March 2019 to raise vital funds and will be joined by Ayesha’s dad and his friend. Please check out the sponsor page and help support this cause if you can.

There are also collection boxes at the USAIS clinic reception, so keep an eye out for these if you are nearby.
