The University’s 24 hr BioBlitz 2019 event is just months away from kicking off! Starting at 19:00 on Friday 7 June till 19:00 on Saturday 8 June, it is a great opportunity for staff, students and the local community to share expertise and enthusiasm for nature.
The organisers are hoping to connect to any staff and students within the University who have specialist knowledge on a particular fauna or flora and are willing to spare some time before or during the day.
The event will largely focus on recording all observed species we can identify across Highfield Campus and parts of the Little Common. The team are keen to hear from people who would be interested in being involved, particularly those who have taxonomic expertise.
If you are able to provide guidance prior to the event, or at the event itself on Friday 7 until Saturday 8 June – then please contact Nicola Turvey [email protected] or Jake Snaddon [email protected].
