We regret to announce that Ashok Ranchhod, a senior academic at the Winchester School of Art passed away early in the New Year period.

Paul Whittaker, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities said:
“Ashok’s all too soon and unexpected death will have come as a shock to many and has no doubt left, for all that knew him well, a deep sadness.
Ashok was a well-respected academic who contributed wholeheartedly, over many years, to the University but especially to the School of Art, its students’ learning, and its sense of community.
A friend to many, I am sure that his passing will be mourned within the University and far beyond. Our thoughts and our deepest sympathies are with his loved ones, family and close friends at this most difficult of times.”
